    Local Flower Deliveries

15th April 2020 By Holly Bee

    Local Flower Deliveries

I’m notoriously slack at blogging at the best of times, but since the past month I haven’t known what to say. Most of my work (events and weddings), has been postponed, and everything happened in a bit of a blur. Having taken time to process and adjust as best we can (it’s an on-going process right?!), we still want to share our beautiful flowers with  the local community.

So! We are now providing contactless deliveries of seasonal flowers, field to vase, to give you a bit of beauty and calm in your home. These would be simple hand tied bouquets of whatever’s looking best in our field that week- £10 a bunch. It’s a way of still growing and providing flowers but in a safe, contactless way. Email or phone to place your order: holly@hollybeeflowers.co.uk or 07811375515.

At the moment this would include flowers like tulips, anemones, ranunculus and poppies- examples below.

We’re based in Dartington, and can deliver locally (email us if unsure), to places including Totnes, Ashburton, Dartmouth etc.

Gift bouquets are also available- starting from £30.

So…  there will still be flowers! And yes, adjusting and keeping on. Take care x

    New Beginnings

    New Year (a little update)

I’m very aware I haven’t updated the blog in rather a while… but it’s the start of a new year, and lots of exciting things for Holly Bee. There are so many amazing  photos from last year, that I didn’t know where to start (perhaps why I’ve been procrastinating for so long)? I’ll get round to sharing lots, but in the meantime here are some images from a shoot I provided flowers for back in November (we still had flowers growing then!). It was such a mild start to the winter that I was able to pick all the flowers from our garden, except for the ranunclus which came from a local grower. Looking at these photos is making me long for spring and having an abundance of flowers again: it will come…

    Busy and Happy

5th June 2017 By Holly Bee

    Busy & Happy

I’ve had a busy month or so since I last wrote, the garden has come on leaps and bounds, and is currently having a well deserved drink (read: it’s raining heavily!) I’ve had the pleasure of doing flowers for some beautiful weddings, I’ve started doing local bouquets again, and given demonstrations at local gardening clubs too. And I even met my flower hero- Sarah Winward. This was at a dream-like afternoon workshop in Yorkshire with the ever-so lovely Fiona form Firenza Floral Design, and the ladies from Holme flowers (the workshop was held at their incredible Farm near Thirsk). So it’s been busy, but oh so satisfying as well. Ooh and the roses are just starting to flower too so there’s that to look forward to…

My turn at a ‘large urn’. Looking forward to seeing professional pictures from Holly at Belle and Beau, rather than my hurried snaps!

    april with no rain

21st April 2017 By Holly Bee

    An April with no rain

It’s been warm and dry here for what seems like forever. This evening I’m going out watering, and have been doing weekly waters for the past month or so… I can’t remember ever needing to do this in April before, especially in Devon. I think looking seriously at an irrigation system with drip tape is definitely required; standing with a hose, and lugging watering cans about the place is so time consuming, let alone exhausting! The weather has also made everything grow quickly, in fact tulips are nearly over, and peonies are getting ready to bloom. Here’s the best of our flowers from the past few weeks.
